DESCRIPTION:The lab will be divided into five sessions in which we will be
 gin with an approach to the general standardized aspects of the double bas
 s with emphasis on the practicality of the application of resources for a 
 satisfactory execution. Subsequently\, the subject of extended techniques 
 will be analyzed in detail\, exposing the conventional terms\, the convent
 ional writing\, the sonority corresponding to each technique and sharing s
 ome examples of scores of related works. Finally\, the previously exposed 
 information will be complemented with a series of bibliographical recommen
 dations and a general list of outstanding exponents of the different style
 s in which the double bass has been present.\n\nParticipants will be encou
 raged to have a broad vision in the craft of composition\, considering asp
 ects such as individual personal musicality\, stylistic ideologies\, pragm
 atism in the composer-performer relationship and of course the organic fun
 ctionality of the double bass.
