Soeui Lee was born in Seoul but she grew up in UK at an early age with music education in Bedford is around from 45 miles from central London and Manchester. playing her first piano at the age of six. She continued to study piano when she was a student. She participated International Festival Musique a Flaine in France in 1997 and Ibach Chamber Music Festival, held in the City of Busan in 1997. In 1999, She selected Eumyeon piano masterclass student, in Seoul.
Soeui Lee is an Universal Edition Composer. Her Music published by Universal Edition, Wien, Austria. Soeui’s new music and album has been released in world wide. She selected a next generation artist and composer in Arts Council Korea, Seoul, South Korea(2016),(2021). She completed the Soeui’s composition recital five times successfully : Hangul and Music and Korean Traditional Architecture and Music(2017),The Garden of Painting(2020), The Fairy Tale in Modern Living Room(2021), The Song of Post Human(2022), Slow Earth on New Wave Siren(2022) in chamber music and chamber opera.
She has been received an awards and commission National Academy of Arts of Republic Korea(2014), Tongyong International Music Festival Composition Academy Scholarship(2013) with Salvatore Sciarrino, Seoul philharmonic orchestra’s residence composer Unsuk Chin’s masterclass Scholarship(2010-2014), Daegu International Music Festival(2013),DCMF(2013), Youngnam International Music Festival(2009), Busan Contemporary Music Association(2009), Korean Chamber Music Expo(2010), Ensemble Trio Hann(2009) the Arts Council Korea (2016),(2021), Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture(2021),(2022). Franz Schubert Conservatory in Wien(2020), Pacific Quintet in Berlin (2022).
Soeui’s music has been performed and introduced at prestigious venues around the world including Sejong Arts Center, Seoul Arts Center, Sejong Museum of Art, Nimphenburg Chamber Music Festival, Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, University of Pennsylvania, UCLA University, Ligeti Quartet in London, Tongyeong International Music Festival Ensemble, Korean Chamber Music Expo, National Academy of Arts of Republic Korea, Asian Composer League, Contemporary Music Society in Seoul. Her music has been performed 50 times and 85 composition works and published in City of Seoul, Daejeon, Daegu, Busan, California, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Berlin, Munich, London and Wien. She is a member of International Socity of Contemporary Music(ISCM), Asian Composer League(ACL).
