Tigrio Rodríguez Witrago, composer (Born in Irapuato, Mexico on April 2nd, 1998)

He is currently in the nine semester (bac + 4) of the Bachelor of Music - Composition at the University of Guanajuato. He has been under the tutelage of composers with national and international renown, such as Víctor Ibarra and David Hernández-Ramos.

He also has attended courses with: Daniel D'Adamo, Ana Lara, Alex Nante, Javier Álvarez, Georgina Derbez, Alberto Carretero, Enrique Busto-Rodríguez, Cristian Morales-Ossio, José Luis Hurtado, José Luis Castillo and Christopher Ramos.

He has worked with the Caledoiscopio Ensemble under the direction of Ludwig Carrasco, the PerUG percussion ensemble of CEPROMUSIC under the direction of Ivan Manzanilla. In addition, he has participated with the University of Guanajuato Symphony Orchestra (OSUG) directed by Roberto Beltrán-Zavala.

He was the winner of the Eighth International Composition Competition for String Quartet of the Molinari quartet (May 2021), the Composition Contest for the 60th anniversary of Radio Universidad de Guanajuato (May 2021) and obtained the honorable mention in the Please Yourself composition competition organized by the Alvarez Chamber Orchestra (ACO) based in London (November 2020).
