Francesco Fausto Magaletti (Bari, Italy, 2000), guitarist and composer, began his musical education at 14, pursuing both instrumental and compositional studies in parallel. He graduated cum laude in guitar in 2023 and launched an intense concert career focused on chamber music. Since 2019, he has been active as a chamber musician and co-founder of the Fairy Guitar Quartet, releasing its debut recording in 2024.
In 2015, he began composition studies under Maestro Gianvincenzo Cresta. At 17, his work premiered after selection in a call for scores by Zenit 2000, where he won the audience prize. In 2018, at 18, he received his first commission from the festival Contemporaneamente Fisarmonica, organized by the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome.
He has collaborated with renowned musicians such as Francesco Dillon, Peter Veale, and Samuele Telari, and with ensembles among them NAMES (Salzburg), mdi ensemble (Milan), Divertimento Ensemble (Milan), and Zenit 2000 (Avellino). His music is regularly performed at international festivals.
From the outset, his music has embodied a strong poetic element, often drawing from extra-musical contexts, with energetic expression and precise formal structure. Recently, he has explored sound and form in three dimensions, working on perspective illusions in music and space.
He currently studies composition at the Milan Conservatory with Maestri Federico Gardella and Gabriele Manca. His works are published by Stradivarius Edizioni.
