Wen-Chia LIEN (b. 2000), Taiwanese composer.
Her compositions span various genres, encompassing contemporary music and multimedia creation. In recent years, she has dedicated herself to interdisciplinary theater and electroacoustic music. Her music often reflects on social issues, historical events, and humanities studies, she aspires to connect with the audience through the expressive mediums of music and multimedia.
Wen-Chia’s orchestral piece "Scars" was awarded Third place in the 2024 Composition Competition of National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra (NTSO), and her electronic music "In Our Stomachs" was performed at 2023 C-Lab Sound Festival - Diversonics. In summer 2024, she was a visiting artist for the ''CREATORS x C-Lab Exchange Program'' at IRCAM Pompidou. In recent years, her production experience includes music design for "Skin Box" at the 2023 Taipei Fringe Festival and scoring for the television show "Sorry to Disturb" on Radio Taiwan International in 2022.
She is currently pursuing her Master's degree at the University of Toronto, and holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Taipei.
