Federico Ambruosi, born in Bari in 2001, is a sound artist and computer musician focused on contemporary and experimental music.
His works have been performed in Milan by Myriam García Fidalgo and others. He has been recipient of the PiGro Residency 2024 for electroacoustic composers at Centro Tempo Reale in Florence, where he has been composing a work for solo live electronics and visuals.
He is currently studying Composition under the guidance of Zeno Baldi and he is also finishing his master’s degree in Computer Music and Multimedia at the G. Verdi Conservatory of Milan, under the guidance of Davide Gagliardi.
During his studies he spent a semester as Erasmus student at the Institut für Elektronische Musik und Akustik – IEM of the Kunst Universität Graz (AT). He also attended the Live Electronics summer program at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena with Alvise Vidolin, receiving the Diploma di Merito in 2024.
Active as electronic performer and sound director, he worked with Schallfeld Ensemble, Duo Dubois, Quartetto Sincronie, Zeno Baldi, Pierre Jodlowski, Óscar Escudero, Jacopo Cenni, Matteo Gualandi, Giancarlo Schiaffini, Roberto Fabbriciani, Manuel Teles and others.
He has been a member of MLOrK ‑ Milan Laptop Orchestra.
