Kety Fusco, with two master’s degrees in classical harp and extensive experience in orchestras and chamber music ensembles, has transformed her solid academic background into a springboard for personal and artistic exploration that led her down a radically
innovative sonic path. Feeling the need to go beyond the boundaries of tradition, she began experimenting with the harp, creating an instrumental revolution that redefined the harp’s role in contemporary music. Her career has been marked by outstanding performances on prestigious international stages. Among the highlights is her invitation to perform at London’s Royal Albert Hall, where she gave a sold-out concert, thus demonstrating global recognition of her artistry. She also had the honor of playing at the Montreux Jazz Festival, sharing the stage with music legends like Jeff Mills, as well as at the Paléo Festival, MaMa Music and Convention, and Les Femmes s’en Mêlent, confirming time and again her ability to captivate and surprise an international audience. Kety also performed at the renowned Notte della Taranta, one of Europe’s largest traditional music festivals, under the artistic direction of Dardust and alongside Stromae, an experience that further solidified her status as a top-tier international artist. Among her innovative projects is the release of the sound library Beyond the Harp, awarded “Best Database of the Month” by Musitech, expanding creative possibilities for composers and producers. Kety was mentioned by The Guardian for her experimental album The Harp - Chapter I, a work acclaimed by critics for its ability to renew the harp’s musical language by blending tradition and innovation. Her music was also selected and broadcast by Iggy
Pop on BBC Radio, further strengthening her international reputation.
Throughout her career, Kety has received numerous accolades, including an invitation to perform at the Global Festival of Action of the United Nations, and the honor of being invited by Agnes Obel to open her tour concerts.
