Siyeol Ju (b. 1995)
is a composer based in Korea and Germany. His work spans across electronic music, installation, media art, and contemporary dance, exploring the relationships between sound, space, and performance. Recently, he has been deeply engaged in investigating stage and spatial structures as compositional and performative elements. He consistently experiments with installation-based works and has a growing interest in improvisation, integrating it into his sound practice.
His notable works include Contemplation, a multimedia series for media art, actor, electronics, and string quartet; Suite for solo piano; and To Walk on the Snow… for flute, violin, and cello.
As the co-director of Contemporary Sound Crew (CSC), he curates annual performances and leads interdisciplinary projects that merge various artistic media. Ju continues to expand his creative scope through performances and collaborations in Korea, Germany, and beyond.
