Ham–Tanid Sintaratana is an electro-acoustic artist, guitarist, and composer who links the process of improvisation with Buddhist concepts. His music blends influences ranging from jazz to Thai folk, while incorporating traditional instruments from diverse cultural backgrounds. Using techniques such as live looping, computer music, and site-specific field recording, he expands the boundaries of sound in a contemporary context and creates immersive experiences through sound installation.

Ham’s work is characterized by a distinctive approach to interpreting and reflecting on social and cultural contexts. His process bridges inner awareness with responses to external sounds in society, embodying the fluid relationship between himself and his surroundings during improvisation. Site-specific field recording further adds depth and clarity to the concepts he seeks to express.

Notable works include the album “RhizomE x Ju Ju,” created in collaboration with the artist Lolay, which earned the “Best Asian Creative Artist” award at Taiwan’s Golden Indie Music Awards (GIMA) in 2023. Additionally, the track “Fragments” from this album was selected for presentation at Ars Electronica Forum Wallis 2025 in Münster, Switzerland, in 2025. Another significant project is the EP “Enter The Void,” produced in collaboration with Krupleng, blending jazz, ambient, and the traditional southern Thai dance-drama, Nora.
