Duration
5 minutes

A seven-minute piece that sets brass, saxophones, percussion and live electronics in motion. It begins in a soft haze: trumpets hold long, slowly shifting tones while a soprano-sax riff gradually floats to the surface. The texture thickens as more saxophones join, until a lone horn tips the music into a new space. In the middle section, distant electronic granulations of the earlier material hover like ghosts while timpani provide the only firm pulse. The energy then snaps into a brisk, more angular groove where trombones and percussion drive the ensemble forward and the electronics spiral out of control. A final, hushed coda strips everything back to airy electronic echoes and isolated vibraphone strokes, letting the piece fade rather than finish.
