precept.concept.percept is an interactive workshop for composition mentored by Dré A. Hočevar.
For our second edition of this workshop, the participants will meet in a virtual space and focus on the following themes: grounding, composition of mind and [emancipatory practices]. Throughout the five-day workshop, we will discuss and constitute infrastructural models and frameworks through the lens of five compositions [for a solo performer] submitted by participant composers and selected by the .alfabet committee. The five selected compositions will be performed and documented by the members of .abeceda [new music ensemble] and others.
To apply, please send the composition [score and a recording/video] that you would like to have workshopped throughout the course with an enclosed CV to info@alfabet.ooo with the subject line ‘precept.concept.percept application’.
