Johanna Sulalampi is a multidisciplinary artist based in Southern Finland. Their work is open to time and context, moving fluidly across mediums. As a freelancer, they work in composition, sound art, sculpture, visualizations, and sound design for the performing arts. Their work also includes teaching at the University of the Arts Helsinki, department of sound design as a visiting teacher. Her writings have been published in the university publications, the online journal by Makery France, and in deep egolocy magazine. As a graduating master student, Sulalampi received the Risto Mäenpää Foundation Stipend for studies in sound design, and their artistic thesis in sculpture was highlighted by art critics in two of Finland's largest newspapers.

In recent years, their exploratory practice has included VR sound performance, compositions based on fungal communication data, sculptures for orchids in Turku Botanical Garden, and ambisonic sculptures shown in the Research Pavilion at the Helsinki Biennale 2023. Sulalampi’s electroacoustic 3D composition earned silver in the 2022 student competition by the German Association for Audio Professionals (VDT). Their electroacoustic works have also been presented at the ORF Musikprotokoll festival in Austria. Commissions include a multimedia work for Danish ensemble K!ART (2022) and a contemporary piece for German ensemble Trio Abstrakt (2024).
